Throughout the summer, Spring Arbor University (SAU) hosted three weeks of the Student Statesmanship Institute (SSI) LEAD Youth Conferences, a week-long leadership simulation for young students ages 13-19 who are interested in working in local, state, and national government.

The LEAD summer program – which stands for Learn, Empower, Act, Discover – offers five various tracks for students to pursue during camp: legislative, media, business, judicial, and campaign. All tracks teach students valuable life skills like teamwork, strategic planning, critical thinking, and communicating effectively.
