Lisa Marquette
Assistant Professor of Social WorkBio
I have worked in Michigan most of my career in different settings and with a variety of populations. I’ve been a social worker for over 20 years and love being a part of people’s journeys and helping them improve their lives! I have taught social work at SAU since 2014, and thoroughly enjoy it. I am blessed to be able to teach remotely from Arizona now. I am a big believer in personal growth and self-development and love collecting and using inspirational sayings. In my spare time, I love spending time with family and friends.
Education
- MSW: Eastern Michigan University

Why SAU
I agree with Spring Arbor’s concepts of “Jesus as the perspective for learning.” I feel that my work is not just a job, but a calling and I am able to live that out within my position here at SAU. I am glad to see Christian universities, like SAU, step up to be a participant in higher education.
