Bio

Audrejean Heydenburg received her bachelor of music education and master of music education degrees (with a concentration in piano) from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. She currently teaches private piano, piano pedagogy, keyboard literature and music history at SAU, where she has taught since 1968.

She is an active adjudicator for various auditions and festivals and continues to perform regularly in the Jackson community. Included in her teaching experiences are two summers at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and two years as choral director at Laker High School in Pigeon, Mich. She has been active in the Michigan Music Teachers Association as an adjudicator and has served and chaired on its board of certification.

She is an honorary member of the Michigan Band and Orchestra Association for her contributions to its solo and ensemble festivals. She has performed with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp Faculty Orchestra, Grand Rapids Community Wind Ensemble, Jackson Symphony, Albion College Orchestra, Jackson Community College Wind Ensemble and the Spring Arbor University Wind Ensemble.

Mrs. Heydenburg is married with three grown children and five grandchildren.
