Nov. 6, 2009
Beginning March 22, 2010, Spring Arbor University will offer degree programs in Howell. As part of its desire to offer more opportunities for adult students throughout Michigan, the university is expanding the number of adult learner sites it currently has in Michigan and Ohio.
The first of the degree programs offered in Howell will be the Bachelor of Arts in Family Life Education. Prospective students are being encouraged to take advantage of the iGNITE Scholarship, SAU’s economic stimulus scholarship. The scholarship offers a 20 percent discount on the family life education degree tuition.
“Spring Arbor University offers a wide range of academic programs designed with the adult learner in mind. Our adult learning sites hold classes one night a week with face-to-face learning, a fast track to graduation, service and convenience, an education grounded in faith and a history of excellence. Our undergraduate and graduate programs allow adults to make the most of their time, their money, their careers and their lives,” says Matt Osborne, vice president for enrollment services.
SAU’s main campus is in Spring Arbor. The university has sites located all across Michigan and in Ohio. It also has an online program.
Founded in 1873, Spring Arbor University started Michigan's first adult studies programs in the early 1980s. Since that time, the University has helped thousands of working adults improve their quality of life.
