About Arbor.edu
The Office of University Communications redesigned www.arbor.edu in 2008. This site is designed to be user-friendly, aesthetically-pleasing and interactive. These features will help you navigate our site and help you find what you are looking for with greater ease.
User-Friendly
When we say “user-friendly,” we mean just that. Go ahead, play around. You’ll find that there are multiple ways you can get to the information you’re looking for and you might find you’re entertained in the process. To use the carousel and the flash slides found on many of the Web pages, just take your mouse and slide the images or merely click on the area you want to see. To view shadowed content, just hover your mouse over the content block and that area will light up for you.
In keeping with Web standards, this Arbor.edu utilizes video more – providing users a more interactive and visually-appealing way to present information. For this reason, we recommend that you upgrade your Flash Player to the latest version. The upgrade is free and can be downloaded from Adobe’s Web site, www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer.
Popular Sites
At the top of each page are action tabs. When you scroll on or click these tabs, drop down menus provide quick links to some of our most popular sites. You’ll also find links to our resources and services pages as well as links taking you to various places around our Web site.
Search
If you still have trouble finding something, we encourage you to use the search tool. Be as detailed as possible in your query. To locate search, look to the top right of the screen.
Best Practices
Much of what you find at this Web site is in response to what University Communications has learned from studying other well-known institutional Web sites, taking note of best practices evidenced throughout the Internet and translating that for Spring Arbor University and its audience’s needs and expectations.
