SAU Online: One of a kind

Here’s a statistic for you: nearly 80 percent of SAU Online students stay enrolled and graduate. In a world where some online programs might still be in their infancy, SAU Online is proving to the world that online learning is not only possible – it’s preferable. What’s our secret ingredient? For Spring Arbor University, it’s all about developing a Christian online community that supports one another as they move together toward their mutual goals.

What we do well

Who wants to enroll in an online program, only to be left fending for themselves, submitting assignments to an unknown professor along with faceless, nameless classmates who cannot help you anymore than you can help them?

At SAU Online, you'll find that you are becoming friends with your classmates, and your professor even encourages you to call him or her on the phone when you need help. You'll enjoy engaging podcasts, interesting threaded discussions and thought-provoking videos that cause you to be transformed in ways you never thought possible. What makes SAU Online so special? Read about the top reasons that you should consider enrolling in an SAU Online program.

Interaction is key

SAU Online uses a four-pronged approach to ensure that each student gets connected and stays connected throughout the entire duration of their program. Known as the “SAU Online Pedagogical Model,” this is our philosophy for why we do what we do and how we know it works.

The SAU Online Pedagogical Model was conceived in 2005 through a collaboration of SAU staff and faculty. This group of experts and educators – the SAU Academic Technology Committee - agreed that for students to succeed at the online level, they must have four different types of interaction:

  • Student to Jesus Christ;
  • Student to Student;
  • Student to Instructor;
  • Student to Content

SAU Online provides opportunities for each type of interaction, create a learning environment that supports the creation of an online Christian community. This dedication to creating community and providing a springboard for students is what makes SAU online a great place to learn and grow. Get more information about support services.
